My first stop on my journey
So last night when I was putting my travel journal together for my trip I sewed my boarding pass into the binding. Since we live in a digital society I did not know they would need this paper "boarding pass" at the ticket counter. Thank goodness the woman at the counter was a kind soul and scanned my pass without having me remove it! She also wrote a note on my ticket that allowed me to bypass going through security!! I didn't even have to take off my shoes!! How cool was that!
Awesome flight! But I did run out of things to keep me busy after only 50 minutes into my 2 hour flight. I will need to address this issue before my next flight -- 9 HOURS!!! Lord have mercy!!! I pity the fool that has to sit in the seat in front of me! Maybe the flight attendants will let me help them serve dirnks! Or.... what if a baby NEEDS ME to hold them? That could work! Let me know if you think of something.
My day in New York was interesting, it reminds me of the City of Chicago (Sara - I know you are laughing at me calling Chicago "the city of Chicago" but I can't change at my age!) I loved all the history -- I actually touched the Empire State Building!! Saw the view from the 86th floor - Awesome!! Then did a cool "MYSKYRIDE" it was a cool chair moving video of NYC! Ate an overpriced sandwich and walked for miles with a silly grin on my face.
God was all over today -- This evening I was about to give up on finding where to catch this tour bus, when a homeless man asked me to get him a hamburger from McDonalds... so of course I did go into McD's to get him food, but when I came back out he was gone! Then I noticed my tour bus was a half a block ahead of me. If I was not delayed, I would not have been there when my bus showed up -- GOD IS GOOD!! Oh, and as a side note, I'm not talking to anymore homeless people! I WILL BE SAFE!!!
I toured the entire city and now I'm tired!! I'll write more later!
